break.rocks is built so that nothing about moderation is hidden. There's no secret ranking, and every measure is explained.

Transparency reports

Every 6 months, we publish a transparency report with:

  • the number of orders received from authorities, by country and by kind of content, and our median time to answer;
  • the number of reports received, by reason and by origin (users, trusted flaggers, authorities), the measures taken and our median time;
  • the measures taken on our own initiative, stating the share decided with automated means and their error rate found on appeal;
  • the number of appeals, their outcome and our median time;
  • the disputes taken to out-of-court dispute settlement bodies, and their outcome;
  • the suspensions imposed for manifestly illegal content, abusive reports and abusive appeals;
  • the average monthly number of people using the Service in the European Union.

First report: within 6 months of the public opening.

Public log of platform measures

The moderation decisions of the platform team appear, anonymized, in a public log updated every day: the rule applied, the measure, whether it was automatic or decided by a human, and the date — never who was concerned.

Moderation logs of universes

Every public universe has its own public moderation log: each sanction, the charter article applied and the moderator, without naming the sanctioned resident. Appeal decisions are public with their reasons.

Statements of reasons

Every platform measure comes with a statement of reasons sent to the account concerned: the rule applied, the content concerned, the measure, and whether it was decided automatically or by a human.
